What sort of crimes happen on campus?
With the school year coming to an end, The Review collected statistics from the UVU Police reports and conducted a survey across campus to compare what crimes occur on campus to what students are aware of.

Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt sentenced to serve for four counts of aggravated child abuse
READER DISCRETION ADVISED: On Feb. 20, 2024, family vlogger Ruby Franke and her unlicensed counselor Jodi Hildebrandt were both sentenced to four consecutive counts of felony aggravated child abuse following their arrest on Aug. 30, 2023.
Campus Crime Report 1/8
The UVU police reported two instances of criminal activity during the first week of classes. Both the cases reported were instances of alcohol offense. This report also contains updates concerning crimes reported in the “Crime over winter break” article.
Crime over winter break
Over winter break ten crimes were reported to The Review by campus police. This included three cases of traffic offenses, two cases of criminal mischief, a case of DUI Alcohol, a threatening, a traffic stop, tobacco problem and a case of stalking.
Campus Police Report 11/6 – 11/22
The UVU Police reported twelve instances of criminal activity since the beginning of November. This includes three cases of theft, two trespassing cases, two warrant arrests, one traffic offense, a violation of a protective order, an alcohol offense, and a case of drug possession.

The UVU Police reported three instances of criminal activity over the last two weeks: one case of theft and two cases of trespassing.

The UVU Police reported two instances of criminal activity last week: one case of disorderly conduct, and one case of assault.
Driver given DUI after driving wrong way: Campus police report 9/25- 9/28
The UVU Police reported four instances of criminal activity last week: two cases of criminal mischief, one case of theft, and a DUI.
Intoxicated minor obstructs traffic: Campus police report 9/19- 9/22
The UVU Police reported three instances of criminal activity last week. This included two cases of threats and one case of underage intoxication.
Former UVU professor of criminal justice arrested in a sexual child exploitation investigation
A former UVU professor of criminal justice was arrested earlier this month and charged with 11 felony counts relating to sexual child exploitation.
