Our Story

From humble beginnings to a multimedia powerhouse, discover how The UVU Review has evolved alongside our university while maintaining our commitment to independent journalism.

Mission

The UVU Review serves as the independent student voice of Utah Valley University. We believe students learn best when their triumphs and mistakes are truly their own. Our student reporters choose, research, write, produce, and present all content—from breaking news to multimedia packages—providing invaluable real-world experience while serving our campus community.

Student-Led Excellence

We are completely student-operated, with UVU students handling every aspect of production—writing, photography, video editing, design, and distribution. Our teams receive on-the-job training and attend national journalism conferences, creating award-winning content while building professional skills for tomorrow’s media leaders.
