NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Utah Valley’s Kayli Doxey and South Dakota’s Carol Logato have been named Great West Conference Volleyball Players of the Week after outstanding performances last week, helping their respective teams move into a tie for second place in the conference. The league office announced the awards Nov. 9.
Doxey, a senior from Gilbert, Ariz., received the offensive honor after leading the Wolverines to two Great West Conference victories last week. The outside hitter helped her team defeat HBU and UTPA by recording 35 kills in the two wins while hitting at .389 and averaging 5.00 kills per set. She also added three service aces and three blocks in the final home matches of her four-year career in a Wolverine uniform.
The honor is Doxey’s fourth of the season and seventh of her career.
