Sufjan Stevens at Kingsbury Tonight

Sufjan Stevens, the indie-prince of Middle America, is coming to Utah to spread the word of “instinct over craft.”

Stevens is currently on tour promoting his Oct. 12 release, The Age of Adz, pronounced like “odds.” Adz is his first full-length original collection of songs since 2005’s Illinois.

Adz abandons many of Stevens’ previous literary tricks. In this album, there are no hints of elaborate conceptual adventures into civic or cultural territory; this time, Stevens approaches the music in a primal way, emphasizing instinct over craft.

The themes are personal rather than polemic, including love (mostly consummate), sex, death, anxiety and suicide.
Let the sense of anxiety in Adz spur to you to immediate action, as Steven’s concert is tonight and tickets are quickly selling out.

Where: Kingsbury Hall, 1395 E. Presidents Circle, SLC
When: Nov. 1 at 8 p.m.
Tickets: $31-$34, for ages 6+
Info: 801-581-7100,

Thanks so much for providing individuals with a very wonderful chance to read critical reviews from this website. It’s usually so good and also jam-packed with amusement for me and my office peers to visit your web site a minimum of 3 times a week to learn the new items you have got. Not to mention, I am just actually pleased considering the brilliant strategies you give. Certain 1 areas in this post are truly the most efficient we have all had.
