After four seasons as a Wolverine, Utah Valley’s Blake Reynolds will graduate in April to go on and further her education by pursuing a master’s degree in health care administration.

Reynolds grew up in Boise, Idaho and started playing basketball in seventh grade and says, “I picked it up and I loved it.”

Although Reynolds played volleyball and competed in track while in high school, basketball was her favorite. “I’ve loved basketball. Volleyball was just one of those things I did to mix it up, but basketball was a year round thing for me- I’ve just loved basketball,” said Reynolds.

Reynolds was recruited by San Jose State, but chose to come to Utah Valley after visiting campus. “I had actually never heard of this school so I came down just to have a visit and I really fell in love with the team. I loved the girls, I loved the coaches and I loved the campus,” said Reynolds.

Looking back over the last four years Reynolds is grateful for the great experiences she’s had with Utah Valley basketball.

“We’ve had some pretty cool times. We played USC in Hawaii and we beat them at the buzzer. That was amazing, that was one of my highlights,” said Reynolds. “We went to Japan together as a team. I got to play at Boise State in Boise and all my family was there so that was a cool experience.”

Reynolds is ready for the next part of her life and said, “Basketball has been fun, but it’s time for me to hang up my shoes. I’ve had a great time, but I’m definitely ready for the next phase in my life and move on to the professional world and try new things. I’m going to have a lot more freedom, so I’ll get to experience a lot more new things and I’m excited for that.”
