Men’s Basketball

Athlete: Justin Baker
• Class: Senior
• From: Sacramento, Calif.
• Position: Forward
• As a Junior:
• Started 22 of 28 games
• Averaged 10.4 points
• Averaged 4.6 rebounds
• Scored in double figures 14  times

Coach: Dick Hunsaker
• Entering eighth season at Utah Valley
• Has a 31-year coaching background
• Played college basketball at UTEP and Weber State
• Was named Mountain West Coach of the Year and     Los Angeles Times National Coach of the Year in 2001 while coaching at the University of Utah

Women’s Basketball

Athlete: Jenna Johnson
• Class: Junior
• From: Salem, Utah
• Position: Guard
• As a Sophomore:
• Played in 31 of 32 games
• Started final 22 games of the season
• Averaged 14.9 points-per-game as a starter
• Scored 20 points or more six times
• Averaged 16.0 points in three wins during the Great West Tournament

Coach: Cathy Nixon
• Entering 16th season for 2010-2011
• Led the team to the Division I Independent Championship during the 2008-09 season and the Great West Tournament Championship during the 2009-10 season
• Her 2009-10 team was recognized for having the best NCAA Division I team GPA in the nation with a 3.630
• Before Utah Valley, served as an assistant coach at BYU for three years

Soccer

Athlete: Katey Turner

• Class: Senior
• From: Huntsville, Utah
• Position: Forward
• As a Junior:
• Finished second on team with seven goals
• Scored six of her goals in the team’s last four games
• Started nine games
• Played in all 20 games
• Had 36 shots with 19 on goal for a .528 SOG percentage
• Great West Conference MVP

Coach: Brent Anderson
• Beginning his fifth season at UVU and is the longest reigning soccer coach in school history
• Named GWC West Division Coach of the Year in 2009
• Has a 33-40-5 record
• Before UVU
• Assisted at Utah State for eight years
• Helped USU have its most successful season in 2003

Volleyball

Athlete: Kayli Broadbent-Doxey

• Class: Senior
• From: Gilbert, Ariz.
• Position: Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter
• GWC Offensive Player of the Year 2009
• As a Junior:
• Started all 32 matches
• Named GWC Athlete of the Month (August 2009)
• Named the Weber State Invitational MVP
• Named to ESPN THE MAGAZINE’s All-District VIII First Team
• Named to the Wolverine Invitational All-Tournament Team
• Named GWC Player of the Week three times
• Ranked 27th in the nation in kills
• Reigns as UVU’s all-time leader in kills per set (3.76)
• Reigns as UVU’s all-time leader in points per set (4.27)
• Led the roster in kills (494)

Coach: Sam Atoa
• Entering his 11th season as head coach
• Led UVU Volleyball to its most successful NCAA season in 2007 as they set a record with 21 wins, winning their second Division I Independent Championship
• Named the Independent Coach of the Year for the second time in 2007
• Served as the volleyball assistant coach at UVU for six years prior to taking over as head coach in 1999

Wrestling

Athlete: Benjamin Kjar
• Class: Senior
• From: Centerville, Utah
• As a Junior:
• 31-10 overall record
• UVU’s first-ever athlete in school history to compete at any NCAA Division I Championship
• Finished with a 1-2 record at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in Omaha
• Named the Wolverine Achievement Awards’ Male Athlete of the Year
• Currently UVU’s all-time record holder in wins with 99

Coach: Greg Willliams

• Entering fifth season
• Has over 20 years of coaching experience
• Began his coaching career at Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah
• Had three athletes compete at the 2010 NCAA Division I Wrestling Champion ships during the 2009-10 season
