BLOG: Local poet, educator presenting on campus

Teacher and poet Joel Long will be on campus on Thursday, Jan 28 in SC206c, to share some of his work and inspire those who attend–just like he does with his students back at Rowland-Hall in St. Mark’s school located in Salt Lake City. The event is part of the Happenings in Humanities series, and it starts at 7 p.m.

Joel has a wonderful personality and his writing is truly creative and inspiring. His book, “Winged Insects” won the White Pine Press Poetry Prize and he received the Mayor’s Artist Award for Literary Arts at the Utah Arts Festival. Come and enjoy some culture and some creativity this Thursday in the Student Center.
