Money for food: ummm. Okay, so it’s been a few days since you’ve donated your plasma and your money is running low.

On Aug. 28 and 29, the UVU volleyball team traveled north to begin their season at the Weber State Invitational and came away with the title, conquering Gonzaga, Weber State and Utah State. The Wolverines first met Gonzaga on Aug. 28 and won all four sets.

One night after posting a comeback victory in extra innings, the Orem Owlz made short work of the visiting Casper Ghosts on their way to an 11-2 victory on a gorgeous Tuesday evening at Brent Brown Ballpark. Michael Wing paced the Owlz offense going 4-for-4 including a double, while Kevin Ramos knocked in three runs on two hits.
RSL in playoff hunt Real Salt Lake won two straight games, something they have not done since the first week in April, giving them a 9-9-6 record and 33 points on the season. This puts RSL in the eighth and final playoff spot. There are seven games left in the 2009 MLS season and 21 possible points for RSL.
