Alpha Sigma Alpha is an organization on campus that strives to create women of poise and purpose through helping the women reach their full potential. As an organization, the women also help the community by donating time and money to non-profit and charity organization across the state.
Recently the women of Theta Pi went to a marathon put on by “Girls on the Run”, which helps girls from all ages build self esteem through athletic endeavors.
“It was so much fun to see all the little girls running, not to mention being with my sisters,” said a Theta Pi woman.
They also make many efforts in academics and university relations, which makes this sorority stand apart from other clubs at UVU. Every member must maintain a certain GPA, and it is highly encouraged to attend Student Government activities and sporting events as part of their goal to increase school spirit.
The Women of Alpha Sigma Alpha are striving to make their mark and encourage others to do the same. They spend time trying to better the campus and themselves.
“Being in a sorority has changed my life. It is hands down the best decision I’ve ever made,” said one of the members. “I have never had more friends, more fun or more leadership opportunities in my life. I love the sisterhood we share and the involvement we have within the campus and community.”
According to the members, being Greek is more than belonging to a club. Being Greek has the potential to improve the college experience.
