You don’t have to travel to New York or Las Vegas to find the latest fashions from NYC Fashion Week.

“Leather, bold patterns, olive hues and white are trends this fall and are available right now in Utah at City Creek Center,” according to City Creek Center General Manager Linda Wardell. While sitting down to lunch on the patio of Brio Tuscan Grille, City Creek Center’s newest restaurant, Wardell summarized six trends she is seeing in stores for Fall.

Six Must-Have Looks This Fall:

1.    Who says you can’t wear WHITE after Labor Day?

According to the looks on display at New York Fall Fashion Week, WINTER WHITE is in. Wear it from head-to-toe this fall with the Perfect Form City Pant or Lattice Detail Sheath dress from White House | Black Market to get that fresh white look.

2.    Beanies aren’t just for skiing.

KNIT BEANIES are in – and so are all other cute hats for that matter. The Diamond II Beanie at Salomon has a soft knit feel with a textured, feminine look perfect for pulling off that beanie look this fall.

3.    Dots, stripes and blossoms – oh my!

CLASSIC PATTERNS are all raging again this Fall. Don’t be afraid to layer-up and partner patterned pieces. The Bessie printed pintuck top and the Michaela pleated wrap skirt at BCBGMAXAZRIA can get you started for the layers and layers of dots, lines and blossoms you will need to pull-off that patterned look.

4.    Get ready to drop and give me 50, because military style is in.

MILITARY STYLE is strong this fall for men and women alike. Nordstrom has the must-have finish for your outfit with military-inspired jackets to bring a little edge to your feminine look. For the men, BOSS HUGO BOSS’ military-inspired bomber jacket pays tribute to the original olive and orange lining, navy blue and patch pockets.

5.    Follow the yellow brick road to EMERALD City.

Shades of green are a must-have this year, especially emerald. Don’t be afraid to bring emerald into every part of your life: your clothes, your home and your office. West Elm and Restoration Hardware have everything you will need for a home-refresh this fall. To add some emerald to your life in the simplest way, work it into your makeup routine for a pop-of-color with the Emerald Collection at Sephora.

6.    Walk on the wild side!

Bring your leopard print from Summer to Fall. ANIMAL PRINTS will be in everything from head-to-toe in bold black and white at Nordstrom. That CLASSIC BLACK LEATHER will also be in abundance at Nordstrom in tees, jackets and skirts.

“Many of these trends are available at various price points,” Wardell said.  “I see these trends in our luxury boutiques like Michael Kors and BCBGMAXAZRIA and other on-trend items can be found at familiar favorites like J Crew, Banana Republic, Cotton On and H&M.”

City Creek Center opened in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City in March 2012 and now has 110 stores and restaurants.  Nearly a third of the store brands are new to Utah and can only be found at City Creek Center.

Nordstrom Belted Double Breasted Trench Coat

Nordstrom Belted Double Breasted Trench Coat:

Military-inspired fashioned if a hot new trend this fall. Olive green, leather and a masculine touch are partnered in Nordstrom’s Belted Double Breasted Trench Coat, available at City Creek Center.

Michaela pleated wrap skirt

Michaela Pleated Wrap Skirt:

Don’t be afraid to layer-up and partner patterned pieces, like the Michaela pleated wrap skirt from BCBGMAXAZRIA from City Creek Center.
