Hey Wolverines! The past few weeks have been tough for all students at UVU. Lots has been going on and we want to make sure you’re informed.
In this week’s episode of Wolverine Weekly, the program covers several recent events connected to the UVU community.
The first segment addresses the campus response following the death of student Charlie Kirk, who was killed on UVU’s campus on Sept. 10. A vigil was later held at a park in Orem where students, faculty, and community members gathered to reflect and honor his memory. Attendees shared perspectives on the importance of community support and solidarity during a time of loss.
The episode also highlights the Latin Festival, held in Provo at the end of August. The festival featured food, live music, and dance performances representing a range of Latin American traditions. Students and community members attended to celebrate cultural heritage, engage with diverse activities, and participate in an event that has become a staple in the area’s cultural calendar.
To conclude, the UVU Review reporting team provides updates on UVU athletics, including recent sports results and upcoming games. The program also shares information on mental health resources available to students, with the goal of ensuring awareness of the professional services and support offered on campus and within the community.
Wolverine Weekly is produced by The UVU Review, Utah Valley University’s student-run and independent newspaper. This week’s episode is hosted by reporters Rio White and Alison Juarez.
