In addition to the general nighttime lane restrictions along the I-15 corridor, which will affect traffic from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 p.m. Friday to 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Utah Department of Transportation has announced other areas for driver consideration.
- I-15 lane restrictions through American Fork and Lindon
- University Parkway interchange and road closed
- Geneva Road closed nightly
- Orem 1600 North ramps closed
- AF and Lehi ramps closed
Concrete paving will cause the removal of the inner lane of both northbound and southbound traffic on I-15 through American Fork and Lindon until April 10. With only three lanes for traffic, drivers should expect “moderate to heavy travel delays” during the typical commute times, according to UDOT.
Signal work, ramp reconstruction and paving will cause closures beginning Saturday, March 31, at 9:00 p.m. until Monday, April 2, at 5:30 a.m. Drivers should use Orem Center Street as an alternate during the closure.
Beam placement for the new overpass on Geneva Road under I-15 will necessitate nightly closures 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. March 23-26. Alternate routes include Orem 1600 North and Lindon 200 South.
Bridge construction at Orem 1600 North and I-15 will cause nightly closures March 27-30 on 1600 North from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Geneva Road to Orem 800 North is UDOT’s suggested alternate east-west route.
Groove placement in the new pavement will cause nighttime ramp closure at three Utah Valley interchanges in the coming week:
The Lehi Main Street southbound off-ramp will be closed for groove placement in the pavement 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on the nights of March 25, 29 and April 1.
At the American Fork Main Street interchange, the northbound ramp will be closed 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the night of March 24 and the southbound off-ramp will close the night of March 27, for the same hours.
At the American Fork 500 East interchange, the northbound on-ramp will be closed 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the night of March 24.
