In the interest of accuracy, all police beat entries were copied verbatim from police logs.

Feb. 15, 2011:
10:06 a.m. – I responded to a delayed a theft from the café in the library. It was reported that a male was taking coffee without paying for it. The male suspect was located and cited for retail theft, and trespassed from campus.
Feb. 16, 2011:
1:39 p.m. – While on patrol a traffic stop was made for a red light volation. During the stop the driver gave a false name of a real person. Upon further investigation it was found that the driver had several warrants for her arrest. She was arrested and transported to Utah County Jail where she was booked in.
Feb. 18, 2011:
3:29 p.m. – I took a report of a female that was making threats of killing herself. The female was located and transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.
11:51 p.m. – During a traffic stop it was found that the driver had a warrant for his arrest. A backing officer was called for and when he arrived I arrested the driver for the warrant. He was transported to Utah County Jail.
Feb. 20, 2011:
2:00 a.m. – During a traffic stop I smelled the odor of burnt marijuana. I asked for consent to search the vehicle. He agreed to let me search. During the search two small packages wrapped in duct tape were found. While in investigating these packages were found to be explosive devices. A perimeter was set up and the Utah County Bomb Squad was called in to dispose of these.
Feb. 21, 2011:
2:26 a.m. – I made a traffic stop for an EV. During I noticed a beer can laying on the floor of the front passenger seat. I asked the driver if she had been drinking. She said no. I ran her information through the statewide system and it was found she had three warrants for her arrest as well as a suspended driver’s license. I made contact with the driver once again.
