3:29 p.m.- UVU bookstore contacted dispatch about a possible shoplifter. Officers arrived on the scene and collected video evidence. Officers were able to locate and make contact with the suspect. The stolen merchandise was recovered and the individual was cited for theft and shoplifting.
4:05 p.m.- A student was found to be in possession of a counterfeit parking permit. A citation was issued.
Feb. 26
1:45 a.m.- An officer made a traffic stop of a vehicle for driving left of the center line. Upon further investigation, the individual was found to be too impaired to drive.
9:30 p.m.- A call was made to dispatch from the MATC of three suspicious looking males smoking outside. An officer made contact with the individuals and ran checks on all three. All checks came up negative and no further action was taken. The individual that made the call wanted no further contact.
Mar. 1
2:56 p.m.- A call was made to dispatch of an individual allegedly smoking too close to a door between the Pope Science building and the Student Center. No individual was located.
Mar. 2
7:45 p.m.- An officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to signal. Upon further investigation, the individual was found to be wanted on warrant. The individual was taken in to custody and booked into Utah County Jail.
Mar. 3
4:30 p.m.- Dispatch received a call of vandalism and graffiti in a restroom in the Gunther Trades building. The custodial staff was able to clean up the vandalism. There are no suspects.
5:41 p.m.- A fire alarm was triggered in the Sparks Automotive building. It was learned that the alarm was triggered when an employee turned on a fire hose. The alarm panel was reset.
