The Daniels Fund recently donated over $310,000 to Utah Nonprofit Organizations as announced this past week.
Bill Daniels, the late owner of Daniels & Associates, always felt that it was important to assist the organizations who provide help to people within local communities. Since its beginning, the Fund has made tireless efforts to give back.
In one of his statements of wisdom Daniels said, “The finest companies plow profits back into the community. They give contributions to needy organizations and individuals. They sponsor charitable events.”
The board and staff of the Daniels Fund are committed to the standards the founder set, and will continue in their efforts to reward companies who exhibit strong values in the midst of difficult economic times.
The Daniels Fund distributes funds throughout the year and Utah Nonprofit Organizations are welcome to apply at any time.
“Any nonprofit organization that falls within the funding areas of the Daniels Fund is eligible to apply for a grant at any time,” said Vice President of Communications Peter Droege.
“There are no deadlines and grants are awarded throughout the year. The funding areas include aging, amateur sports, alcoholism and substance abuse, disabilities, education, homeless and disadvantaged, and youth development.”
Utah Grant Recipients include: the George S. Eccles Ice Center, North Logan; Canyon Creek Women’s Crisis Center, Cedar City; Children First Utah, Salt Lake; Children’s Service Society of Utah, Salt Lake; New Hope Crisis Center of Box Elder County, Brigham City; Odyssey House of Utah, Salt lake; Salt Lake City Corporation; Utah State University—Pediatric Audiology Facility; and Volunteers of America, Salt Lake.
Nonprofits interested in applying for a grant are encouraged to review the Daniels Fund Website at www.danielsfund.org to determine if their organization is eligible for a grant.
