Move Your Beehind, por un estilo de vida saludable

La competencia  Bateman  inspira a los estudiantes  de UVU, a crear una campaña de salud contra la obesidad infantil.  Este segundo grupo de estudiantes de Relaciones Publicas  tiene el lema, “Ser saludable es simple  y divertido“.

 

“Estamos tratando de trabajar  con la comunidad  de Utah, enseñándoles a prevenir la obesidad infantil.  Esta idea surge, ya que somos miembros del PRSSA, y participamos de esta competencia que se desarrolla  a nivel nacional” expresó Bridget  Conk  estudiante de Relaciones Publicas en UVU.

 

La campaña  diseñada por los estudiantes del programa de Relaciones Publicas de UVU, está basada en crear conciencia en los
padres, para que sus hijos puedan estar más saludables, y no sean víctimas de la obesidad infantil. Igualmente,  motivarlos para que ellos puedan adoptar un estilo de vida más saludable.

 

“Estar activos  es  importante, es simple poder cambiar  un estilo de vida para estar  más saludables, no tienes que hacer grandes cosas” dijo Conk.

 

El segundo equipo está conformado por, Bridget Conk, Mark Diamond, Kelli Farley, Matt Mansen y Joshua Smith, quienes son supervisados por la profesora Farah Chase del departamento de Comunicaciones de UVU.  Paralelamente tienen patrocinadores  que están apoyando esta loable campaña de prevención.

 

Entre las actividades a realizarse  durante todo el mes de Febrero  están, las visitas a las escuelas preparatorias  e iglesias locales, donde se están desarrollando actividades cada día.  También están incluidas las clases de cocina saludable.

 

“A los niños y sus padres les queremos decirles  que todos somos capaces de llegar a ser saludables. Hay una simple táctica que pueden seguir,  recuerden los alimentos de la tabla de colores. Consuman  vegetales, frutas y proteínas, y estén siempre activos. Ser saludable es divertido,” agregó Conk.
