My Friends,

I am honored to serve you as your Student Body President this year.  UVUSA has already done many things on behalf of the students here at UVU and we look forward to continue to represent you on a local, state, and national level.

There are many projects underway this year that will be of benefit to you and your UVU experience.  The new student center facility for instance will be a wonderful addition to the north side of the current student center. Several pedestrian walkways and tunnels have been added to the south side of campus to ensure the safety of our students in high traffic areas.  With all the construction taking place this year, I encourage you to do everything you can to make sure you are safe and that you plan around construction.  UVU is the largest university in the State of Utah and with that size comes heavy amounts of traffic and safety concerns.  Please refer to construction and traffic reports at uvu.edu/pardonourdust.  This is a wonderful website that will help you plan ahead to ensure safe and timely arrival to UVU.

Parking will be more of an issue this year than past years.  I hope that you do all you can to carpool, walk, or use a bicycle as means of transportation to UVU.  Parking will be hectic but that does not mean there won’t be enough parking spots for everyone.  There may not be parking stalls close to the buildings you attend for class, but new parking stalls are located on the North West side of campus which will help those who drive.  Please plan on walking a few minutes from the parking lot to your building if you drive to UVU.  There are many bicycle racks and paths all over campus that will serve those who don’t use a vehicle as a method of transportation.  The construction on the north side of the student center will be especially dangerous for pedestrians who do not follow proper procedures while crossing wolverine way between the institute building and institute parking lot.  Please use the precautionary devices establish to ensure safe crossing.

Now that all that is out of the way, I hope you plan on enjoying your time this year.  There are so many student organizations you can join to make your time here at UVU more significant.  Keep your eyes out for the activities going on the first week of school.

Thanks for being here this semester and we look forward to having a great year with you all!

Sincerely,

Chad Workman

I have acquired some new things from your website about computer systems. Another thing I have always imagined is that laptop computers have become something that each family must have for many reasons. They supply you with convenient ways in which to organize the home, pay bills, go shopping, study, tune in to music as well as watch television shows. An innovative technique to complete these types of tasks is by using a computer. These pc’s are mobile, small, potent and lightweight.
