Follow your guide through the diverse flora and fauna of tropical rain forests on a natural history excursion through Costa Rica.
Applicants accepted into the program will have the chance to study tropical biology or geology while actively exploring various ecological zones and the geology of an active volcanic arc.
“Students who participate in our program and who have never experienced a tropical adventure have often expressed to me their surprise as to the diversity of wildlife and the intricacies of the web of nature that they find there,” said Wayne Whaley, co-director. “It is a tropical Garden of Eden.”
Students have the opportunity to watch glowing lava blocks tumble down Arenal, float the Pacuare River, water slide under howler monkeys at Rincon de la Vieja, zip line through the rainforest canopy, swim in the Atlantic Ocean and observe crocodiles in the Tarcoles River on this amazing educational experience.
