Reading Time: < 1 minute L.T. stays in San Diego LaDainian Tomlinson and the San Diego Chargers successfully renegotiated a contract which will keep L.T. in a Chargers uniform. Not only does the new deal keep L.T. but it also gives the team some salary cap relief. Tomlinson was the 2006 NFL MVP but the past two years have been filled with injury problems and his productivity has been down.

Reading Time: < 1 minute 2/20/09- The Orem LDS Institute of Religion adjacent to the UVU Campus held a talent show on Friday evening called: “An Evening on Broadway.” Students performed scenes from Wicked, My Fair Lady, High School Musical, Les Miserables and others. Popular Broadway songs were sung and performed instrumentally, such as a rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow played on an upside-down violin, as well as Chopsticks, performed by Ellen Amatangelo & Josh Sackett.

Reading Time: < 1 minute Done Deal.Finally After four months of a back-and-forth battle, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Manny Ramirez have agreed to a two-year, $45 million deal. Last season, Ramirez played 53 games for the Dodgers. In his stint in L.A. he hit .396 with 17 home runs and 53 RBIs.

The Wolverines took both games of the double-header on Friday. “It’s good to finally see our players come out and swing it the way we thought they were capable of all year” UVU coach Eric Madsen said.

Reading Time: 2 minutes Ballroom Dance Festival on campus Utah Valley University’s Department of Dance in the School of the Arts presented its annual Winter Ballroom Dance Festival Feb. 19-21 at the Orem Campus. The competition included dance teams from across the region. All levels and styles were presented with teams coming from elementary schools, high schools, colleges and universities across the state and region.

We did not have an “official library.” This year is so much better with our brand-new library. There is finally a place to go to study and not be distracted.
