Ballet West in Salt Lake is at it again with another new and exciting performance called Treasures of the Ballets Russes.

This recital is set to sample some of the original Ballet Russes’ most famous and profound pieces, including Les Biches, The Prodigal Son and Polovetsian Dances.

“The Ballets Russes redefined the art of ballet.from that point on, ballets were no longer looked upon as purely vehicles for dance but as works of art,” said Ballet West’s artistic director, Adam Sklute.
Performance dates are March 27-28 and April 1-4 at the Capitol Theatre in Salt Lake City.

UVU students can now purchase up to two rush tickets the day of the performance with a student I.D. Ticket prices range from $18- $72 and can be purchased online or at the Capitol Theatre ticket office.
Ballet West is also hosting an ongoing festival in correlation with Treasures of the Ballets Russes that runs until April 8. Community events include lectures, art exhibits, children’s events and more. All are free and open to the public.
