Come and audition for a New Murder Mystery Show that will run May and June at the Wise Guys Comedy Club in Orem. The auditions will be held at Wise Guys in Orem (1270 West 1130 South in Orem…it is on the WEST of the freeway in Wolverine Crossing…there are apartment buildings there as well) on April 6th and 7th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The show will start May 4th and will be performed every Monday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. It will end on June 29th. We will be promoted at the LDS comedy festival the weekend before. We will pay $5.00 per rehearsal and $15.00 per show. (7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.). This show is original and has original music. We will be selling the CD’s in the lobby from the show. The show is called “Called to Murder” and is based around the LDS culture. We are looking for men and women to play all parts. Singing is required for ensemble numbers, but only some parts have solo songs.
Character List:
Bishop Rick Brick — has been Bishop for some time 30-50’s
Sister Sophie Green — a “traveling fireside speaker”…has written some popular LDS self help books. Solo Song
Brother Lyman Brick — the Bishop’s son-18 to mid 20’s
Brother Lambert Gart — comes to church so he can be allowed to play basketball in the gym 20-30’s
Relief Society President-Sister Joy Rose –very animated and “super” positive.
Sister Julie Anderson — new convert to the church, young and impressionable, 18-mid 20’s. Solo song
Brother Timothy Rose — Member of local singles ward, son of the RS pres., into SF and books. 18-20’s
Please bring a minus track of about 16 measures, a head shot and brief resume. We will provide cold readings. If you live far from the Wise Guys in Orem and are cast we will not be reimbursing for gas money. Wise Guys will let you all have free soda though.
