UVSC hockey team is preparing for regionals, which are scheduled to take place in Oakland, Calif., Feb. 22-23.
Their first opponent will be Utah State, and the outcome of that game will determine their next opponents.
This season the team has already played Utah State four times and won three of those games.
The last game before regionals was against Utah State. "It was a very difficult game," said defender Matt Guthrie. "We were down a man for most of the game."
Both teams each had accumulated 45 penalty minutes during the game, but UVSC won 7-4. UVSC is ready to take Utah State again at regionals and expect another win.
