NFL wants to play more
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is proposing a plan to NFL owners to raise the amount of games in a regular season from 16 to 17 or 18 games. The proposal would also make it so there are fewer preseason games. Goodell said that the league does not need four exhibition games anymore.
Armstrong Crashes
Seven time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong crashed and sustained a fractured collarbone, or clavicle, when he went over the top of his handlebars as part of a multi-cyclist collision near the end of the opening stage of the Vuelta a Castilla y Leon. Armstrong had surgery to help stabilize the injury and whether or not he will compete in the Tour do France is still uncertain.
