McGrady likely done for the season
The Houston Rockets were supposed to make a run in the Western Conference after acquiring bad-boy Ron Artest during the off-season. That doesn’t look to be the case as Tracy McGrady has announced that he will miss the remainder of the season with knee problems that will require microfracture surgery. This after Yao Ming missed the second half of last season, including the playoffs, with injury.

Oden sits with bone chip in left knee
Portland’s number one draft pick two years ago, Greg Oden, has spent more time off the court than on it in his short NBA career. After missing his first season with the Blazers due to microfracture knee surgery, the seven-foot center has been in and out of the lineup this season. His most recent ailment is a bone chip in his left knee. While he isn’t suppose to miss much time, the fact that he’s so injury prone has to have Blazer fans questioning the pick as Kevin Durant, the number two pick behind Oden, has enjoyed early NBA success.
