Utah Transit Authority is broadening its routes and accessibility by offering a new express route from Eagle Mountain through Saratoga Springs to Salt Lake City.
Express route 806 started service on April 6, 2009, and is part of the service now being offered to the area after Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs voted to join UTA’s service district in the 2008 general election.
Route 806 will provide direct express bus service from the northwestern part of Utah County directly to downtown Salt Lake City. This route will have two northbound buses in the morning and two southbound buses in the afternoon, serving residents of Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs.
A portion of the funding for the route comes from the Congestion Mitigation Air Quality Funds and by collecting one half cent on the dollar of sales tax revenue from the two cities.
There currently is no direct route from the Eagle Mountain/Saratoga Spring area to UVU.
