Instituto de Religión-Una Prioridad Estudiantil

Con el trajín que viene de un nuevo año escolar, estudiantes promueven clases de religión en la universidad para aliviar un poco el estrés.

El instituto de religión ha iniciado una campaña este año para promover clases a los estudiantes.

Rob Elzey, Director de Area de Seminarios e Institutos comenta, “Presidente Monson ha hablado de que se debe hacer una prioridad asistir al instituto y tomar clases de religión donde sea que los jóvenes estén estudiando. Los estudiantes son motivados para hacer el instituto una prioridad y ser parte de traer un amigo/a.” Elzey dijo.

El club de la Asociación de Estudiantes de los Santos de los Últimos Dias, LDSSA, ha empezado una campaña para hacer un recordatorio a todos los estudiantes de registrarse a clases de religión, regalando playeras con el logo que dice ‘Estar anhelosamente consagrado’, lo cual, de acuerdo a una estudiante de religión, significa que deben estar anhelosamente enfocados.

Elder L. Tom Perry fué la inspiración para los líderes del club LDSSA, dijo Elzey. Después de hablar en la  devocional de Enero acerca de aumentar la asistencia este año, los estudiantes empezaron a poner carteles y regalar playeras en toda la universidad para promoverlo.

Los estudiantes pueden obtener una playera gratis en la oficina principal del Instituto de Religión y deben de usarla cada martes en la escuela como un recordatorio semanal.

De acuerdo a Elzey, hay más o menos 6,000 estudiantes registrados en instituto en UVU, para un total de 14,000 que están registrados en el Valle de Utah, incluyendo las ciudades de Lehi y Spanish Fork.

“Que vayan a instituto”,  Steven Anderson, un estudiante de instituto commenta,

“porque es un tiempo para aprender de algo diferente sin estrés, donde todos están felices.”

El Instituto de Religión también tiene un club y cualquier estudiante interesado en unirse puede ir a la oficina, llamar a Daniel (Vice-Presidente) 801-828-5638 o buscar información en la página de internet  http://www.uvu.edu/clubs/info/clubs/show/id/337
