Nov. 2-An officer responded to a request for a welfare check on a student. The officer spoke to the student and advised him to seek help.
Lost or stolen property
Nov. 2-A student reported a lost or stolen Kindle and met with an officer to file a report. The Kindle, plus downloads was valued at $200.
Hallway smoke
Nov. 3-An officer responded to reports of smoke in the hallway near Taco Bell. It was determined the smoke was created by a grill that had just been cleaned in Taco Bell.
Uncontrollable coughing
Nov. 3-An officer responded to reports of a woman coughing uncontrollably. The officer searched the area reported, but was unable to locate anyone fitting the description given.
Roaming children
Nov. 3-Four to five young children were reported to be roaming the hallway in the Sparks Automotive Building unsupervised. The children were located and it was determined that they were indeed supervised.
Stalking incident
Nov. 4-A student reported being stalked by someone since the Halloween dance. An officer obtained information and filed a report.
Fire alert
Nov. 4-A call came in about a possible house fire near the Library Building. The responding officer found a controlled fire in an outdoor pit. No further action was taken.
Ankle injury
Nov. 5-A female student fell down the stairs at the north entrance of the LA Building. After being evaluated by Orem paramedics, the woman was released and traveled of her own accord to a local ER for an ankle injury.
Book thief
Nov. 5-An officer responded to the bookstore after reports that a student had stolen a textbook. The officer collected information and filed a report. The incident was later resolved.
Unwelcome fans
Nov. 5-A group of men attended a volleyball game even though they had previously been told they were not welcome at the event. When asked to leave, they refused. The men were cited.
Smoke, but no fire
Nov. 5-The smell of smoke was reported in the Browning Administration Building. When an officer arrived, the smell was not detected. No further action was taken.
Medical call
Nov. 7-An officer responded to a report of a traffic accident on campus involving a bicycle. The accident was found to have occurred off campus and the responding officer was able to assist Orem Police.
Expired registration
Nov. 7-A call came in about a young woman in the UCCU Events Center who had a bloody nose. The nosebleed was stopped and the woman was released to her coach.
