Cardinals and Steelers still standing

However, in mid-November, there are two certainties: Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and college football is in full force. In college football, some things never change. The SEC is still one of the most dominant conferences in the country, and as of Nov.

Finally in Philadelphia

Reading Time: 2 minutes In the first ever World Series delayed by rain, there is no wonder that the game ended a quarter-century championship drought in the city of brotherly love. The Philadelphia Phillies won their first World Series since 1980 over the Tampa Bay Rays and brought the city of Philadelphia its first championship since 1983, when the 76ers won an NBA title.

Rays and Phillies compete for World Series crown

Reading Time: 2 minutes Perhaps not the two teams television executives wanted in the World Series, but the Tampa Bay Rays and the Philadelphia Phillies are going to compete for the top spot in the baseball world. The Rays at the beginning of the season were not given the time of day in the high powered American League East, sharing the division with the defending champion Boston Red Sox and the evil empire that is the New York Yankees.
