For the second installation in The College Times’ How To series, we will try to teach students how to bypass a traffic violation.
The premise to the new romantic comedy 27 Dresses is that Jane (Knocked Up’s Katherine Heigl) is a single girl living in New York who has been a bride’s maid 27 times, yet never been married herself. If you know what Heigl looks like, you’re thinking, “Yeah, right! She’d never be single.” But when you see the movie, you quickly learn why.
Almost everybody remembers seeing the Cloverfield trailer before Transformers last summer, only then it was still unnamed and known only for its release date – 01.18.08. The teaser showed a going away party in a New York apartment from the lens of a camcorder held by one of the characters when, suddenly, an earthquake hits, buildings explode, fireballs fall and the Statue of Liberty’s head comes crashing down the street. Everyone was left to ask, “What was that?”

So I watched the new Tool DVD. Before you watch it, be warned that it does contain some disturbing images and artwork, from the mind of Adam Jones and many collaborators.

Campus safety issues have been on the minds of students across the county the past few months. One issue that is a main concern among UVSC students is feeling secure at night around campus.
UVSC students, along with dignitaries from across the state, were among the prestigious guests that attended the Utah state capitol rededication celebrations during the first week in January.
Henry, along with owner Rhonda Kamper, visited UVSC’s campus to help promote animal cruelty awareness and to help get a petition signed to show support for Henry’s Law, also known as SB 102.
Last week’s devotional, given by Chad Lewis, was a moment for students and faculty alike to be given the opportunity to learn something new and enjoy listening to remarks. For those who missed this devotional, students are invited to attend the next, featuring UVSC President William A. Sederburg.
