Tucked between Midici Pizza and Macy’s is a new artisanal ice cream shop at the University Mall. Rated highly by publications like Vogue, Oprah and Travel Major Magazine. Mora Iced Creamery has brought their delectable range of 50 flavors for Utah Valley to enjoy.

The Mora story starts back in 2002 when Jerry Perez and Ana Orselli moved their family from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Washington state. In 2005, they began Mora with the dream of re-inventing the ice cream shop experience.

The Orem location is only the first of many for Mora. According to owner Jeff Whyte, they plan to continue expanding. Currently, they are working towards two more Mora locations, and hope to have 5-10 more locations within the next 10-12 years.

Mora’s focus is creating a welcoming atmosphere for each of their guests while providing fresh and delicious ice cream. They strive to make their tagline “life deserves extraordinary” a reality.

Whyte says that he and the Mora staff focus on making customers feel at home when they visit the shop. One of the ways they accomplish this is by providing unlimited samples for guests to try various unique flavors and combinations at the shop, with the elegant touch of miniature metal sample spoons.

“The experience of eating ice cream and the experience of Mora is just as important as the actual product…we try to give one on one attention to any person coming to Mora, whether it is their first time or twentieth time,” Whyte said

Mora has a large and diverse menu, ranging from seasonal flavors like lavender to their signature blackberry, to three different variations of Dulce de Leche. Their ice creams use all natural and fresh ingredients and do not have artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. The care that goes into combining the perfect ingredients and preparation can be tasted in each of their refreshing ice cream flavors and dairy-free sorbets.
