WAC Weekly: What to look out for – Winter Edition

January 4, 2020

Reading Time: 5 minutes A new year is upon us and WAC play for winter sports is finally here. Averette, Washington boost Wolverines over Pioneers

December 29, 2019

Reading Time: 2 minutes “This group gets along with each other, they spend time together away from the court and away from the locker room,” said Madsen. “I think when you have that type of synergy across players it doesn’t surprise me that we had four guys in double figures…there’s no selfishness in that locker room…I’m proud of these guys and we’re excited heading into the conference.”

November 13, 2019

Reading Time: 2 minutes “If you look at the skill set of our players from Trey Woodbury, to JJ Overton, to Isaiah White, obviously our guards Ege, TJ, Brandon, this is a skill set of guys where all four guys can lead the break,” said Madsen. “They can put the ball on the floor, they can make really sound decisions. Reading Time: 4 minutes Just like the very first WAC Weekly with fall sports, we’ll break down the preseason predictions for both men’s and women’s basketball and take a look at what may happen down the line, as well as UVU wrestling. Though the WAC does not have wrestling in the conference, UVU has boasted one of the best programs in the nation over the last couple of seasons, so the grapplers of UVU will get some well deserved recognition here.
