Dustin Dennison, Taylor LaMont, and Demitrius Romero led the team to much success this season. Each of the three wrestlers had 20-plus wins to help the Wolverines achieve an 8-6 record. Volleyball: UVU routes GCU in straight sets

The Wolverines’ undefeated weekend moves them to 12-13 overall and 7-3 in conference play. UVU is now one game behind New Mexico State at 8-2 for the WAC lead. Photo by Cody Glassett The UVU volleyball team hosted its first WAC match of the season Thursday night in the Lockhart Arena, but the upfront blocking for the Wolverines (7-12, 2-2) was not enough to slow down UTRGV (10-7, 4-0) as the Vaqueros prevailed 3-1 (24-26, 25-21, 25-12, 25-21). The Wolverines ultimately fell in a 3-0 sweep but kept each set close in the first home game of the season. The Wolverines kept it close all throughout the beginning of the first set.
