The Utah Valley women’s soccer 2008 season, it’s most successful ever at the NCAA level, ended with a tough 1-0 loss at Longwood in the United Soccer Conference Championship game on Monday night. Despite the loss in the final, the 2008 Wolverines will go down as the winningest team in the school’s six-year NCAA history.

Huskies coach calls it quits After dropping to 0-7 with last week’s loss to Notre Dame, Tyrone Willingham, the coach of the Washington Huskies, announced that he would step down at the end of the season. Willingham has been on the hot seat for some time now as his team is a measly 11-32 under his tutelage.

Kjar ranked 18th in national preseason poll UVU’s sophomore wrestler Benjamin Kjar was ranked 18th in the nation in the preseason polls in the 125-pound weight division on Oct. 16 by the InterMat/NWCA/NWMA Division I Individual Rankings. Kjar, from Centerville, Utah, lead UVU last year as a freshman with an impressive 39-9 overall record.
