Wolverines squander lead late, fall to CBU on the road

The Wolverines faced the California Baptist Lancers on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at the CBU Events Center in Riverside, California. Prior to the game, the Lancers had an overall record of 19-8 and sat in second place in the WAC standings.

UVU softball continues hot-streak with 5-1 weekend record

Reading Time: 2 minutes After winning 3-of-4 games last weekend in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the Utah Valley softball team won 5-of-6 in the Marucci Desert Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Wolverines played six games from Friday, Feb. 14 to Sunday, Feb. 16 against Weber State, Montana, and UNLV. Their one loss came against UNLV on Saturday.

Wolverines go 3-1 at Puerto Vallarta College Challenge

Reading Time: 2 minutes The Utah Valley softball team kicked off their 2020 season this weekend by playing four games in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The Wolverines began play on Thursday, Feb. 6 with a doubleheader against George Washington and Oregon, before facing Nevada on Friday, Feb. 7 and Long Beach State on Saturday, Feb. 8. Their only loss came in an 8-0 decision against UO on Thursday night, but won each of their other three games.

Individuals shine, UVU wrestling loses to North Dakota State

Reading Time: 2 minutes Despite their 1-9 team record entering the dual, the Wolverines have four wrestlers ranked in the national top-25, with sophomore Tate Orndorff ranked fourth in the heavyweight division. The team suffered their 10th loss of the season in a 20-15 contest, but UVU’s ranked wrestlers continued their dominant seasons as all four won their respective matches.
