The UVU Review is officially resuming news production after pausing for the summer of 2026. Beginning on Monday, August 31, content production resumes in full force for the 26-27 school year. Under the leadership of Gracie Graham, the UVU Review will resume news production under 4 channels: social media, broadcasts, podcasts, and print. “It’s our full intention to produce the best year of journalism that the UVU Review has ever seen and to add value to the lives of students through the journalism and news content that we create,” Graham said.
Following the UVU Review’s summer hiatus, new and returning staff have been hard at work refining policies and procedures. During this period of transition executive team members are updating the Review’s content to make connecting with local and relevant news easier today than ever before.
Each of the 4 news channels will begin their regular news production for the academic year and will report on current and trending topics that are relevant to Utah Valley University and our surrounding areas. Each of these teams are dedicated to providing news content for UVU’s student population. This year, the UVU Review team hopes to become part of your daily routine by sharing high value and relevant content through our different channels. We are focused on refining our processes and building campus connections; listed below are important links and descriptions of our current news productions and how to connect with us:
Social Media: Our social media team creates content on Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Tiktok, and Facebook. Connect with us by using the icons on our page. Allan Logsdon, the UVU Review’s Senior Social Media Producer, said “We want our pages to include information that is useful, important, and entertaining.” Connect with our social media pages for information relating to events, announcements, student resources, and student stories.
Wolverine Weekly: For weekly connection and traditional broadcasts, the Wolverine Weekly broadcast team will be publishing new content every Monday on the UVU Review’s webpage and youtube channel. Ali Juarez, Senior Broadcast News Producer, said “This new season our broadcast team aims to continue to connect, inform, and inspire the UVU community through valuable reporting and genuine presence on-screen.”
We Are Wolverines: For the 26-27 academic year, we are producing the We Are Wolverines podcast. This podcast will primarily be hosted on the UVU Review’s youtube channel. “The show aims to inspire, motivate, and connect viewers with the people in their community,” said Rio White, one of the UVU Review’s Senior Broadcast News Producers.
Print and Web Publication: The UVU Review’s news teams will also continue to provide written articles and feature pieces through the UVU Review’s webpage and the Review’s printed magazine, which can be found at stands spread throughout the university.
The UVU Review looks forward to connecting with the community “not for the sake of likes or clicks or views or metrics of any kind, but truly because we want to serve as a voice for them, and we want to hear and share their stories,” Graham said. The news team is built on a foundation of student journalists who are committed to sharing the stories that set Utah Valley University apart from other campuses in Utah. The Review team invites students, faculty, staff and community members to follow our channels and participate by sharing the stories that need to be told.
