The Wolverines were off to one of their best starts in recent school history with a 12-7 record, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and shut down the rest of the season. UVU was originally slated to start the 2021 season on Feb. 12 at the Aggie Classic in College Station, Texas, but those games were canceled due to inclement weather.
The Utah Valley softball team played a four-game series Friday and Saturday, Feb. 21-22 in Moraga, California, with one game against Nevada and three games against Saint Mary’s. UVU lost both games on Friday, then beat SMC twice on Saturday to improve their overall record to 10-4.
After winning 3-of-4 games last weekend in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the Utah Valley softball team won 5-of-6 in the Marucci Desert Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Wolverines played six games from Friday, Feb. 14 to Sunday, Feb. 16 against Weber State, Montana, and UNLV. Their one loss came against UNLV on Saturday.
The Utah Valley softball team kicked off their 2020 season this weekend by playing four games in the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The Wolverines began play on Thursday, Feb. 6 with a doubleheader against George Washington and Oregon, before facing Nevada on Friday, Feb. 7 and Long Beach State on Saturday, Feb. 8. Their only loss came in an 8-0 decision against UO on Thursday night, but won each of their other three games.
