The arrival of another school year is beckoning newly named Utah Valley University with rising enrollment. Unprecedented numbers of new students will grace the halls, parking lots and classrooms during fall semester.

Suicide, an unfortunate reality

Suicide is a subject that is new to neither UVU nor Utah; our state has a suicide rate above the national average, and according to a study by Mental Health America released late November of 2007, Utah suffers the highest rates of depression in the nation.

New UVU library is greenest building in Utah

The new library at UVU is the most energy efficient building in the state. Being the first building constructed under the guidelines of Utah’s High Performance Building program, the Digital Learning Center will save UVU close to $100,000 per year in utility costs.

Welcome, fellow students. It is a remarkable time to be at UVU – during the transition from college to university. This newspaper underwent its own change this summer – from The College Times to UVU Review.

What’s going on with the old library?

During the summer, construction began on the old library located in the Losee Center in order to transform it into the future headquarters for Student Services. The building will be renamed the Losee Center for Student Success.
