“We love playing here [at home], I think the girls really get up for our fans and our home field,” said UVU head coach Chris Lemay. “The teams in a really good spot, the chemistry is good right now and I think that is an attribute of why we’re getting the results that we’re getting.”
“We felt good in possession today, I thought that our movement off the ball allowed us to keep it. Players did well to get touches into space and try to break lines and lanes,” said UVU head coach Chris Lemay. “When we did that, opportunities to go forward opened up.”
UMKC and UVU had faced-off 11 times before Sunday’s match, with the ‘Roos owning the series lead at 6-5. UMKC had also won three-consecutive matches heading into Sunday, which includes two wins last season in Orem — a 1-0 win in the regular season and a 3-0 win in the WAC tournament.
