Intramural flag football team dominates national tournament

Reading Time: < 1 minute UVU’s flag football team won the Region VI Tournament in Tempe, AZ, which was held Nov. 7-8. This marks the Wolverines third regional championship in the last 5 years. They went into the tournament as the number one seed and won every game going 6-0. Not only did they win every game, they also worked every opponent through the “mercy” rule, which is a rule that ends the game early if a team is ahead by more than 20 points.

Moreover, they successfully accomplished the daunting task of beating the best team in the premier league, Olympique Montreux 3-1 at home, hence creating history and encouraging a lot of attention from all over by being the only team to cause such a major upset.
