With over 30,000 students and new construction going on every year, it can be hard to know what resources are available to students. However, there are labs, tutoring and printing services all around campus that students can use to help ace their classes.
According to Sofia Palomo, who has worked in the math lab since last summer, many students who come in for the first time are shy. She said that the people working in the labs are qualified and willing to assist students.
“There’s no shame in asking for help,” Palomo said. “We all need help and we all need to learn.”
Here is a quick guide to these valuable resources.
Open Labs
These labs around campus provide computers, printers and scanners for students to use. They are open to drop-ins on a first come, first served basis. Students can log into these computers using the same UV ID and password that they would use to log into Canvas or UVLink.

Math Tutoring
Math labs are open to any students enrolled in UVU math classes. They also have tutors available on site for students who need help. One-on-one tutoring can also be scheduled by calling the front desk at 801-863-8310.
