Bored to Death, a recent addition to HBO’s lineup, is about a young shiftless novelist in Brooklyn who begins a career as an unregistered private detective to distract himself from a novel that he can’t seem to finish – or even begin, for that matter.
Written by novelist Jonathan Ames (after whom the main character is named), Bored to Death is mischievous and playfully naughty. The writing contest is a harbinger to the premier of the show’s second season.
To enter the contest, search for Bored to Death on Facebook, and click the “Novel Contest” tab. Ames himself will judge the top ten entries, and winners will receive swag from the show.
