Fire Alarm:

Aug. 16- A fire alarm went off in the UCCU event center. The officer who responded found that the main area of the center was filled with smoke and the back dock was open. After speaking to individuals outside the dock, the officer determined that the alarm had been tripped by smoke from a diesel vehicle that had been removed from the arena.

Aug. 20- An officer responded to a fire alarm going off in the Losee Center. It was determined that a contractor working in the building accidentally tripped the alarm.

 

Suspicious Person/Packages:

Aug. 17- An officer responded to a report of criminal mischief at the soccer field next to the McKay Education Building. The officer found that damage had been done to a chain link fence over a period of time.

 

Burglar Alarm:

Aug. 17- An officer responded to a burglary alarm going off in the National Guard Building. After meeting with military personnel on site, the officer determined the alarm had been accidentally tripped.

 

Officer Assist:

Aug. 15- A UVU officer was called to assist Orem Police with a reported fight in progress. Once at the scene the officer found that it was only kids playing.

 

Car Damage:

Aug. 21- A complainant stated that her car had been tampered with in a campus parking lot. The responding officer was unable to locate video footage showing any tampering with her vehicle.

 

Drunk and Disorderly:

Aug. 22- Police responded to a report that a male, who appeared to be intoxicated, was yelling at passersby. Officers located the man and advised him to leave the area.
