RSL keeps playoff hopes alive in dominating fashion

Reading Time: 2 minutes Real Salt Lake went in to Wednesday night’s game on the outside looking in and if they wanted to keep their playoff hopes alive, RSL would have to defeat Chivas USA at Rio Tinto Stadium. RSL would do so in dominating fashion, 4-0. Through the whole season RSL had a tough time coming out of the gates with energy but that was not the case against Chivas.

After finishing third behind Ogden and Idaho Falls in the Pioneer League South Division’s first-half standings, the Owlz have ripped off a season-long winning streak to put them in command of the division race. Orem had won 12 games in a row as of Aug. 19 and propelled themselves into first place in the division with about three weeks to go in the season.
