UVU Cross Country places 7th and 13th in battle for the West

Reading Time: 2 minutes It seems that this years cross country season has gone by faster than Utah Valley’s teams can run. Both UVU’s men’s and women’s teams concluded their season Friday, Nov. 15, placing seventh and 13th respectively. The Mountain Region Cross Country Championships took place just over the mountain at Rose Park Golf Course in Salt Lake City, and brought some of the best teams in the nation together to compete for a chance at the NCAA championships Nov. 23.

Tarawhiti, UVU cruise past Seattle U 3-1

UVU comes up short in WAC title match, lose 2-1 to SU in OT

Reading Time: 2 minutes An 87th minute goal and a 99th minute golden goal by Seattle University ended Utah Valley’s 2019 season and a chance at an NCAA tournament berth. The game took place on Sunday, Nov. 10, at Championship Field in Seattle. UVU hung on to a 1-0 lead for almost 56 minutes before SU tied it late, and eventually sealed it in overtime by a score of 2-1.

Kazna Tarawhiti embraces challenge of helping build a sturdy program at UVU

I felt like I had a lot to offer to that program, which was exciting for me … I wanted to be a part of something that was coming up … If you look at BYU or Utah they already have that expectation. I wanted to be a part of something that could get there and I think UVU is now getting there slowly but surely.”
