The Utah Valley women’s soccer 2008 season, it’s most successful ever at the NCAA level, ended with a tough 1-0 loss at Longwood in the United Soccer Conference Championship game on Monday night.

Despite the loss in the final, the 2008 Wolverines will go down as the winningest team in the school’s six-year NCAA history. The 11 wins surpassed the school record by two and the team’s 4-0 start was not only the best in school history but it also was part of the Wolverines’ longest winning streak of seven dating back to the 2007 season. Utah Valley was also a perfect 5-0 in the conference regular season, outscoring its opponents 15-to-1.
