Poor college students are always looking for a few free things. Generally these include free food and a cheap date, and when both are available, it is considered a treat.
On Nov. 12, the Orem Institute will be holding a date dance called “ ‘Fall’ in Love.” The dance will include ballroom lessons and a dinner. It is one of two dances each year that require a date.
The evening starts at 8:30 p.m. with a serving of soup and salad. The dancing, along with the ballroom lessons, will start at 9 p.m.
Entertainment will include karaoke, a photo booth and games.
Dress for the event is modest casual.
While it is customary for men to ask women out for dates, the institute encourages women to be bold and ask as well.
Tickets for the dance are available at the main office in the institute.
