Reading Time: 2 minutes

Hot spots this week for UDOT’s I-15 CORE project include the folloing:

  • University Parkway
  • Orem Center Street
  • Orem 1600 N(x2)
  • Orem 800 N
  • Spanish Fork

Nighttime closures of both southbound I-15 ramps at University Parkway will necessitate alternate routes nightly as crews switch traffic lanes onto new concrete and install storm drains. The off-ramp will close Thursday, Jan. 26, at 10:00 p.m., and the on-ramp as early as Jan. 27, also at 10:00 p.m. Closures will be removed at 7:30 a.m. daily.

Demolition of old bridge parts will cause closures of Orem Center Street at I-15 nightly through Thursday, Jan. 26. Closures will begin at 9:00 p.m. and last until 5:30 a.m. On- and off-ramps will stay open on both sides of the freeway. Orem 400 South, 400 North and 800 North are suggested east-west alternates.

Both off-ramps at Orem 1600 North will close nightly for sound wall and storm drain installations. The NB off-ramp will be closed Jan. 25-26 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and the SB off-ramp will be closed Jan. 26-29, also from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Survey work will cause an overnight closure of Orem 800 North Friday, Jan. 27, from 10:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Orem Center Street and 1600 North are suggested alternates.

The southbound off-ramp from I-15 to U.S. 6 and Spanish Fork Main Street will be closed nightly Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 23-24, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for concrete and guard rail work. After off-ramp work is completed, the on-ramp from Main Street to I-15 will be closed for similar work Wednesday through Friday, Jan. 25-27, also from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Drivers should use S.R. 77 as an alternate for all closures at this junction.

As usual, UDOT recommends drivers check their website regularly for delays, and to use extra caution when driving during inclement weather.
