Abandoned Paraphernalia:

Feb. 3- Officers went to the Health Professions Building in response to reports regarding suspicious materials left on a garbage can. Officers confirmed the materials to be drug paraphernalia and the items were booked into evidence to be destroyed.


Criminal Mischief:

Feb. 4- Reports were received of criminal activity in the Physical Education Building. Officers arrived on scene and noted that it appeared as if someone had fallen through the ceiling. After reviewing video, they determined the situation to be an accident.


Feb. 4- Officers were called to the area of 900 w and 800 s where some men were reported throwing tree debris in the road and causing trouble for drivers. The area was vacant of both the men and the reporting party when police arrived.


High School Disturbance:

Feb. 6- High school students were harassing some women in the Physical Education Building. Police arrived on the scene and directed the high school students back to the event they were participating in at the UCCU Center.


Suspicious Sticky Notes:

Feb. 9- Reports came in of sticky notes with suspicious content left on computers in the Student Success Office. Officers responded and gathered information.






Uncertain Assistance:

Feb. 9- A woman accepted the help of another woman, whom she assumed was an employee, as she was checking out at Wal-Mart. When the woman got home, she realized her wallet was missing and believes the other woman may have stolen it from her purse as she was assisting her.


Hit and Run:

Feb. 11- A reckless driver hit three cars and a business before immediately fleeing the scene on foot. The driver, who was located lying down on Orem Boulevard, was uncooperative and taken to the County Jail.


Under the Influence:

Feb. 12- An officer stopped a car going 20 mph over the speed limit. Upon making contact with the occupants, the officer noticed the vehicle smelled like alcohol. The adult driver was determined to be sober, but the juvenile passenger was intoxicated. The passenger was cited for illegal consumption and released to a parent while the driver was cited for speeding and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
