Passing on pearls, wear one, wear many

The ageless pearls give a simple elegant look, appropriate for the young and the old. Nicola Pritchett /UVU Review.

Pearls. Many refer to them as “Grandmother’s”. The simple, elegant style, black pearls or white. Necklaces. Earrings. Bracelets. Numerous or singular.

Beauty knows no age. Pearls provide a woman with affordable transcendent beauty. Classy enough for any dinner and a simple look for every season.

If they’re good enough for Elizabeth Taylor and Sarah Jessica Parker, then a set of pearls should be mandatory for every woman’s wardrobe.

Pearls aren’t as rare as they once were, nor are they as pricey. Often times, a young woman is given her first real pearl necklace or set of pearl earrings by her mother or grandmother, and what a gift it is.

Wearing pearls doesn’t take much forethought or planning. Simple dresses, formal pantsuits and a blouse and skirt combination are all worthy enough to accompany pearls. Though they aren’t beans or potion, pearls have magical qualities about them. Making an older woman look younger and more vibrant is no easy feat, and the same strand of pearls can give a younger lady a classical sophisticated appearance instantly.

John Steinbeck said, “This pearl has become my soul . . . If I give it up, I shall lose my soul.”

Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, but don’t get between her and those pearls. Each pearl may each have its flaws and imperfections, but the attachment is for life. Counting on that one look, for that event you forgot about, or the finishing touch when you really need to impress is void of stress because every woman has her pearls.
