Four countries in four weeks

Reading Time: < 1 minute

From musicals to comedies, dramas, cutting-edge works, classical and contemporary pieces, students attending the theater study abroad can look forward to four exciting weeks in four countries.

Geared specifically towards theatrical text and performance, the program features experience and training in Spanish theatre and French mask. With trips to cities such as Madrid, Paris, London, Stratford, and Edinburgh and sites such as Shakespeare’s Globe, the Royal National Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon, and other professional venues, students get a chance to see what is happening in the world’s theatre districts.

Participants will get a change to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the world’s largest arts festival, where students from the summer 2009 study abroad program received a four-star rating.

“This program is a really unique opportunity for UVU students to both see and participate in theatre abroad,” said Christopher Clark, theatre program director. “I think it’s a fantastic way for our students to see what is current in their field and be a part of it as well. Any student interested in theatre or in the arts should be going with us!”
